Seizures & Epilepsy

9 Jan 2007

Epilepsy Australia's latest education resource,  Seizures & Epilepsy  is now available.

Seizures & Epilepsy

What is a seizure?, How are seizures diagnosed? Why do seizures occur? Will there be more seizures? Are seizures dangerous? These are just some of the most frequently asked questions when someone learns that the unexplained collapse, blackout or fit they experienced was in fact a seizure.

Seizures & Epilepsy answers these questions and many more clearly and factually. The various tests that may be required to assist diagnosis are explained along with a clear description of the most common seizure types. Why treatment may or may not be prescribed is discussed as well as risk factors associated with seizures.

Several people with epilepsy share their experiences adding to the factual and honest way the information is presented.

A community education resource, Seizures & Epilepsy is freely available from your Epilepsy Australia Affiliate.
