Epilepsy Training

Epilepsy Australia member organisations provide professional development to organisations such as schools, disability support providers, workplaces and families across Australia. Member organisation nurses can also provide training in the administration of emergency medications (midazolam or rectal diazapam), when it is prescribed.

Training options include:

  • An introduction to understanding and managing epilepsy (mandatory pre-requisite)
  • Administration of emergency medication (where a person with epilepsy has been prescribed emergency medication)
  • Understanding the epilepsy management plan (additional training in understanding an epilepsy management plan)
