Accredited training offered by Epilepsy Australia member associations in partnership with Victoria University of Technology.

  • National competency unit Assess & Deliver Services to Clients with Complex Needs CHCCS6B

This elective unit is taken from the Community Services Training Packages that includes courses such as Certificate III and IV in Disability Work and Certificate IV in Aged Care Work.

Community and professional education programs

Epilepsy Australia member associations provide responsive education and training programs, including sessions to community organizations, health and welfare groups, disability and aged care service providers, businesses, education providers, students, state institutions and other groups. Programs cover a range of topics and can be tailored to suit the education and training needs of individual organizations, if required.

Requests for education and training sessions for students, staff members and parents in a range of educational environments are welcome. Epilepsy Australia's interactive approach is tailored to specific requests and situations, particularly in catering for children with epilepsy in the classroom and the administration of emergency medication for the control of seizures.

All trainers have the appropriate qualifications to deliver these programs and have extensive experience in epilepsy and its management.

The Epilepsy & Society Programme is a one-day symposium for people with epilepsy, their family, friends and carers, and for those professionals working with people with epilepsy.
